寒生露凝，
秋意漸濃，
轉眼間，
二十四節氣進入寒露，
晝漸短，
夜漸長，
眾荷凋殘，
蘆花勝雪，
深秋的寒冷漸漸逼近。

Yuan Zhen of the Tang Dynasty wrote Ode to the Twenty-Four Solar Terms: Cold Dew to express his surprise at the coming of the late autumn:

The Cold Dew reminds me of the approach of the late autumn. The chrysanthemums are gradually turning yellow. Winds are sweeping the leaves, and wild geese fly on their migration under the sun.
寒露驚秋晚，
朝看菊漸黃。

萬里雁隨陽。
The Cold Dew marks something withering but also heralds the harvest in autumn. The persimmons, hawthorns, and pomegranates are bright, plump, and attractive. Red leaves cover the mountains and plains, and many shapes and varieties of chrysanthemum are in bloom, decorating this cold autumn with a touch of brilliance.

柿子、山楂、石榴，
